Plastic Molding - An Overview
Plastic is the most important material used all over the globe. There are many sadvantages of using plastic products. Plastic products are always around us even we know it or not. Cell phones, computer systems, pens are some of the examples of plastic product, which are used on a daily basis and are very important to carry every day's business.
Applications Of Plastic Molding
Plastic Molding is used for producing a wide range of plastic products. Storage containers, wire pools, engineering equipment, Bottle caps, etc. are some examples of plastic products made from Plastic Molding.
Advantages Of Plastic Molding
*Identical Plastic Products- Plastic Molding is ideal to employ as a process, which results in an identical shape of a range of plastic products Rigid flex PCB.
*Minimum Wastage Of Raw Material- Plastic Molding is a process that is done with the use of machines, because of this reason, there is least wastage of raw material flex PCB.
*Less Labor Cost- Due to the process involved in Plastic Molding, which is carried out by machines, there is no need of extra labor which saves the extra cost.
*Least Error Scope- As Plastic Molding is a process carried out by machines so there is least scope of error in Plastic Molding Process.
With so many advantages, Plastic Molding is a process which has less production cost as compared to other molding processes like silicon molding or steel molding.
Different Types Of Plastic Molding
Plastic Molding is done through different processes that are used widely in industries. Some types of Plastic Molding are mentioned below.
*Plastic Injection Molding- Plastic Injection Molding is the most common Plastic Molding Process. Injection Plastic Molding involves sending melted plastic into the hopper and then passing it through extreme hot and cold temperature to get the final mold shape of a plastic product.
*Blow Molding Process- Blow Molding is another type of Plastic Molding Process. In Blow Molding Process, melted plastic is filled in a chilled mold and a hot blow of air is blown into the tube to give plastic the shape of the tube. The tube shaped plastic is further processed to make a molded plastic product.
*Compression Plastic Molding- Compression Plastic Molding is a process that takes a pre specified volume of Plastic into a mold and then compresses the plastic using another mold. Compression Plastic Molding can be done automatically or manually.
Plastic Injection Molding is a widely used industrial process that caters to the diverse need for plastic products.
